I Don't Know What to Say.

Thursday, August 02, 2007

Wow. I really don't know what to say. I do know that even with the crappy luck I've had with commutes and my car, that I really don't think I will ever earnestly complain ever again.

In case you haven't heard somehow, a huge bridge here in the Twin Cities collapsed while full of rush hour traffic. CNN reports on it here.

The bridge is for Interstate 35W crossing the Mississippi River. It collapsed at about 6:05 pm and had at minimum about 60 cars on it. This was THE major North/South highway artery through Minneapolis. They say upwards of 100,000 cars crossed that bridge daily. I know I've crossed that bridge countless numbers of times. I used to cross it at least twice daily when I was living downtown and going to the University of Minnesota.

Luckily, no one close to me was involved with the disaster. As far as I know yet, I don't personally know anyone involved. My best possible wishes do go out to anyone who does.

I'm still just... in awe.

I was really worried about you and that bridge thing. Hey, ya scared the ---- out of me.

Haven't been around because of various hard drive troubles and I lost all my addresses, favorites, etc. So when this bridge thing happened, I thought about your safety and wondered how to find out if you're ok... HMMMM????

GOOGLE!!! I did a google on chief slacker and found your site again.
