What if?

Friday, September 30, 2005

If a question haunts the mind, the body and the soul, what if it doesn't go away?

The heart has a feeling, the mind gives it words, what if the words are wrong?

What if you only have one chance at love, would you know it when it comes?

You're walking down the street someplace and in the crowd you see a face; you know that it's the one. What if they walk right by?

What if the people that you know, don't really know you?

A person you're in love with, admits the same to you; what if there's nothing you can do?

What if the thing you were doing when you stopped to think was the thing you most needed to do?

What if you met your one, but thought it was wrong?

What if there is a grand design? Should we stop trying other things?

What if one move you didn't make, or one kiss you didn't take, could have changed your life?

The mind keeps racing while the heart's embracing things we hope are true. Love's around to be found; you hope that it finds you. What if it has?

So much to think about, so much on my mind.

So,

What if?

You are asking questions only you can answer. If you need answers for your heart, look into your head. Be true to yourself!! If you don't believe that you yourself are making the right decision, how can anybody else know? You must also believe in yourself that if you do make the wrong decision, you have the strength to continue and adapt.

This is basically how I felt 38 years ago when I was watching the Boss walk up the aisle in her white dress with her father.

"Is this the right one?"

Shit yeah man!! I know I'll never get Christie Brinkley, or Heide Klum or any super chick or what the hell, make the best of what you have!!

One hundred years from now you'll be dead and who cares anyway??

Hope this helps ya brother!

wow, someone's not slacking! but seriously, these are difficult questions. and by the way, i wouldn't prefer any man to bert, and i know he wouldn't prefer any supermodel to me. i don't think it's making the best of what you have...i think it's actually believing that you do have the best that keeps your heart content. have a great weekend!

You've asked a lot of reflective questions... Reflection is good, but don't forget to look forward.

Wolfgang - I usually go with the flow, but ADD means never really being able to turn the brain off, just narrow the range of channels flipping though...

1) where have you been? Stop the insanity and get back to your slacking!

2) is your mind going in a million different directions, or what? whatever will be, will be!

I believe that a person has several potential loves of his or her life out there...not one. We run into them here and there, and sometimes we see who that person is easily and sometimes we miss it. Either way, whatever happens was meant to happen, so I don't fret these questions. I just live my life in a way that lets me sleep soundly at night and move on.

Great, now I'm paranoid. Seriously, dude, the whole "Lady with the Cats" thing is looking more and more like my destiny, because now I'm wondering if I may have blown my big chance without even knowing it.

Bummer.

JlyBn - I've been all together too busy. now that I have net at home you'll see more from me again. And yeah, my mind goes about eight million directiosn at once, ADD sucks sometimes.

Kira - Yeah I have to ebelive with the number of people on the planet, even though everyone is uniuqe there are a bunch that could be potential loves of your life... now the finding is the hard part...

Dasi - Sorry about that, didn't mean to make anyone paranoid, sjtu had stuff floating through my head.
